Silent Dialogues

Words were spoken
Actions many taken
The games they played
My mind so frayed

So much was said
So much was heard
The things she said
The words I heard

She moved and she danced
And she glanced at him
I looked and stared
Continuing her dance with me

The words long and empty
Meaning, they had none
Yet so much conveyed
None through spoken word

Pained I was
To read her mind
The pain that rose
The pain that was mine

Fright there was
In seeing her face
For I saw no person
Only a mirror in its place

We spoke and shared
By silent ways and means
I hear her all the time
With all her silence in me
